always new and improved!

Currently, there are three types of Chikka Txt Messengers.

  • Main Chikka client
This is a downloadable application that needs to be installed in your personal workstation. This client has all the functions and features.
  • Java client
This is accessed via the Chikka website and can be launched anytime as long as you have an Internet connection. This is ideal for people who can't access their personal workstations, like those in Internet cafés. The Java client lacks some features the main client has.
  • HTML client
This is implemented by third parties in their web sites. The most basic client among the three, it can only send and receive messages.

Chikka functions can also be accessed from a cell phone, through the Mobile User Interface (MUI).

The MUI is the mobile component of Chikka Txt Messenger. Unified account users can do the following through their mobile phones by sending to an access code: initiate a message to a PC account, invite a buddy via mobile or email, update their profile, retrieve their password, manage online alerts, and block unwanted messages.
