1. How do I send a message from my phone?
- For GLOBE and TOUCH MOBILE subscribers text IM to 2371. You will receive a text message showing who among your friends are online. Just follow the instructions as given on the text message. You are charged P2.50 for sending text-messages to the short code. You are not charged for receiving text-messages.
- For SMART and TALK N TEXT subscribers text ICHAT to 277. You will receive a text message showing who among your friends are online. Just follow the instructions as given on the text message. You are charged P2.50 for sending text-messages to the short code. You are not charged for receiving text-messages.
- For DTAC mobile phone subscribers text TM to 1919001. You will receive a text message showing who among your friends are online. Just follow the instructions as given on the text message. You are charged 3 Baht for sending text-messages to the short code. You are not charged for receiving text-messages.
2. I received a message from a friend. How do I reply to him?
To reply to messages received, simply reply with your message and send like any normal text message.
3. I received a message from a person I do not know. What do I do?
When you receive messages from persons you do not know, please reply to the text message received with the word BLOCK.
4. Am I charged when I receive a message on my mobile phone?
- Mobile phone subscribers of the Philippines and Thailand are not charged when they receive messages. You are only charged when you send text-messages to the short code.
- Mobile phone subscribers of U.S. mobile phone carriers have the regular value-added-service rate. Please check with your provider for the exact rates.
Receiving Online Alerts
1. Why am I receiving online alerts?
Online alerts are a notification that one of your buddies is online in his computer. It is your buddy that has sent you the alert, in the hopes that you would like to respond with a message.
2. How do I stop receiving online alerts from a particular person?
When you receive an alert from a friend, reply to the text message received with the word STOP.
3. How do I stop receiving online alerts from everyone?
- For GLOBE and TOUCH MOBILE subscribers text ALERT OFF to 2371.
- For SMART and TALK N TEXT subscribers text ALERT OFF to 277.
- For DTAC mobile phone subscribers text OFF to 1919001.
Blocking and Unblocking Persons
1. How do I block or unblock someone from sending me messages?
- For GLOBE and TOUCH MOBILE subscribers text BLOCK <Chikka ID> and send to 2371. For example, to block the person with Chikka ID 009876543, text BLOCK 009876543 and send to 2371.
- For SMART and TALK N TEXT subscribers text BLOCK <Chikka ID> and send to 277. For example, to block the person with Chikka ID 009876543, text BLOCK 009876543 and send to 277.
- For DTAC mobile phone subscribers text B <Chikka ID> and send to 1919001. For example, to block the person with Chikka ID 009876543, text BLOCK 009876543 and send to 1919001.
When someone adds you to his buddy list for the “first time” you can easily block the sender by replying to the text message received with the word BLOCK.
To unblock, use the keyword UNBLOCK and apply the same process above.
