Q. What can I do in the all-new Chikka? A: The new Chikka.com now connects you to all your IM buddies in Google Talk, Yahoo!, AIM, MSN, and ICQ. You can still enjoy sending free text from your PC to mobile, which is now supported by an expanded list of operators. The web-based Chikka now also lets you send international SMS to mobile phones everywhere at very affordable rates.

Q. How do I sign in to my other IM accounts? A: Simply enter your user information for Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger, AIM, MSN, and ICQ accounts together with your Chikka sign in information on the web-based Chikka sign-in page and then click on the Sign In button.
Q. What is Auto Sign-in? A: The auto sign-in feature of the web-based Chikka lets you access your other IMs conveniently. When you choose this option, you will be automatically signed in to your other IM accounts every time you’re on the web-based Chikka.
Back to TopQ. How do I send a message to my Chikka buddy´s PC? A: Go to your buddy list and double-click the name of your intended recipient. Simply type your message and click on the mouse icon to send to your buddy’s computer. If your buddy is online your message will be received instantly. If your buddy is from another IM network, go to your buddy list and click on the name of your intended recipient. Type in your message in the chat window and press Enter.
Q. How do I send a message to my buddy´s phone? A: Go to your buddy list and double-click the name of your intended recipient. Simply type your message and click on the phone icon to send to your buddy’s mobile phone.
Q. To which countries can I send Chikka text? A: You can send free text to mobile subscribers in the following countries: United States, Philippines, Guam, India, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Spain, Indonesia, Saipan and Japan. You may also send text at very affordable rates to mobile phones in these countries.
Q. What do I need to start sending Chikka text? A: You need to be signed in to the web-based Chikka. To send text to other countries not listed above, you need to be signed in to a Chikka Wallet account with sufficient credits. If you don’t have a Chikka Wallet account yet or if you need to load up credits, click here.
Q. What is mobile forwarding? A: When you enable the mobile forwarding feature, you will receive messages sent to your Chikka or other IM accounts on your mobile phone whenever you are offline.
Back to TopQ. How do I add Chikka buddies? A: You can add registered Chikka users and mobile phone subscribers in countries supported by Chikka. Click on the Add Buddy button found below your Buddy List. Choose Chikka in the IM Network pull-down menu and enter your buddy’s Chikka ID or mobile number. When you enter a mobile number, please follow the international format: country code + mobile access code + mobile number (Example: 639178997817). You can then assign a screen name for your buddy. After you enter your buddy’s mobile number and screen name, click the Add Buddy button.
Q. How do I add buddies from my other IMs? A: Click on the Add Buddy button found on top of your Buddy List. Choose which IM Network your intended buddy belongs to, enter the user name and specify a screen name for your buddy. Your new buddy will then be included in your list.
Q. How do I remove a buddy from my list? A: Right click on your buddy’s name and select the option Delete Buddy. Once you have deleted a buddy, your screen name will also be deleted from that buddy’s Chikka Messenger client buddy list. Your deleted buddy will not be alerted of this action.
Q. How do I block a buddy? A: Right-click on your buddy and choose Block Buddy from the menu.
Q. How do I rename a buddy on my list? A: Right click on the buddy you want to rename, and choose Rename Buddy. Type in the new name and press Enter.
Back to TopQ. How can I change my status message? A: Click on the area that shows your current status message. Scroll down to choose the status you want displayed to everyone, or create your own custom status message.
Q. How do I sign out? A: Click on Sign Out, found at the upper right hand corner of the page. You will be signed out of your account and redirected to the Home page.

Charges apply when sending text messages to buddies who are registered mobile subscribers in countries not mentioned above.The appropriate fees vary by country, or the destination of your message. The amount you will be charged for sending an international text will be displayed at the lower left corner of your intended recipient’s chat window.
Q. How do I pay for international text I send via Chikka? A: When you send international text, your Wallet account is charged the applicable fees and credits in your Wallet are deducted accordingly. If you don’t have a Chikka Wallet yet, create one here.
Q. Will my buddy be charged for receiving Chikka text on his mobile phone? A: Your buddy may be charged for receiving your international text. Applicable rates vary depending on your buddy’s carrier and mobile subscription plan.

A: We store your personal sign-in information in our servers only when you choose to be signed in automatically to your other IMs. When you opt to sign-in to your other IMs manually, your information is used only to give you access to your other IM accounts via Chikka.
